A few weeks ago I was taking my wife out to a play, and we met up nearby. I saw O Sushi was a convenient place to grab lunch before heading downtown to the play. The food was uniformly high quality as was the service. So today while I was out and about running errands, I stopped by for lunch; just me so I sat at the sushi bar. Thinking I'd do a more detailed analysis, I ordered mainly nigiri, including Uni with quail egg. All of the fish was very fresh. And the kicker: the chef put fresh wasabi on top of the fish, without me even requesting it Being from Ramona, I frequent sushi mainly in Poway. There are several there that are quite good. But O Sushi seems a step up even from those. One of the main differences, is that the owner is working as the chef. I highly recommend it.

Excellent sushi, service and atmosphere. I just moved into the neighborhood and am stoked I found a great sushi spot! It's family owned and run which is evident by the great service. They even give you a free ice cream for dessert which was delicious. It's a bit on the more expensive side but the quality of this fishè made the price more than worth it. I would highly recommend O-Sushi to any sushi aficionado... we will be coming back quite often!

This place is incredible. The ambiance is amazing, the staff celebrate with us my daughter's bday. The food is delicious specially crunch salmon and fried squid "calamari"

Another birthday. Another fantastic lunch at our go to sushi place. O Sushi never disappoints. Sunny is so attentive and kind we cant thank her enough for making it special.

Well here I am in San Diego, CA and looking for a new place to try. My brother recommended O Sushi located at 10545 Scripps Poway Pkwy, Ste A, San Diego, CA 92131 Scripps Ranch I noticed how clean the entire restaurant was, including the restrooms. The attitude of the servers and chefs working behind the sushi bar indicated to me that this was family run. The service could not have been any better and the young lady offered suggestions as to what we should try. I decided to stay with the chicken teryaki bento box. I added an order of shrimp & vegetable tempura. I started out with the miso soup which was absolutely excellent, followed by the tempura. This was a huge portion as compared to other restaurants I have visited. The bento box came, a very nice portion of chicken teriyaki, which was tender and well prepared. The salad, rice, spicy tuna roll, gyoza really had been prepared to perfection and tasted wonderful. Everything I saw at other tables that customers had ordered looked great! The pricing was fair, considering the quality you received. This was really a great place and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it when visiting San Diego, CA

O Sushi is me and my parents go to place for sushi when we are celebrating special occasions. We went there in July for my mom's 75th birthday and came again today New Years Day for my parents 39th anniversary. Sonny was sooo nice for my Mom's birthday a whole crew came out and sang happy birthday to her and they had her wear a crown and Sonny kept calling her Maganda - beautiful in Tagalog, my Mom loved it. This New Year's Day we had Jin as our waitress. This New Years Day we had one of my favorite rolls the Toro roll. Not all sushi restaurants have this premium ingredient it's tuna belly and soooo soft and tender. It is a little pricey but worth it in my opinion for high quality ingredients. Definitely can't get the roll every day, but once in a while is OK. My mom got the salmon entrée and the portion of salmon was very generous compared to other restaurants. It even came with the sweet potato croquettes. We got chicken karaage which I always recommend for toddlers or children. The Korean spicy wings were good. My dad got the udon and asked for it very hot and they obliged. My husband got the chicken teriyaki bowl and he liked it. They even gave us free strawberry ice cream as dessert which I guess is standard. Overall I love O Sushi and always come back especially for the Toro which I can't find anywhere else. Their fish always tastes fresh and even to go the sushi is good and stays well.

Great sushi quality! This restaurant is really unassuming, but the quality of fish is great! I could tell immediately from the photos that they would have quality sushi, and it definitely did not disappoint. Come here for the food, not for the atmosphere. The wasabi on the sushi is really fresh. They also offered complimentary ice cream when I went! Will definitely be back next time I'm craving sushi. 10 Sushi Sampler: 8.5/10 great salmon belly that I didn't see on the a la carte menu. 5 Sushi and Roll: 8/10 so glad it's a salmon roll and not a california roll Agedashi Tofu: 8/10 the sauce was the perfect balance of richness and lightness. I wish the tofu was more fried/battery, but the sauce was delicious and really brought the dish together. Service: 8.5/10 staff was lovely!

I saw this place on social media and realized it was close by and figured I'd give it a try! I was pulled in by the omakase box and was so impressed by it! The portions are fantastic, the fish is great, and the variety is amazing! To top it all off, they offer complimentary edamame to start your meal and ice cream to end your meal! So fun!!! The staff here is also incredibly friendly and we usually have an easy time getting seated. The restaurant is located in a big shopping center and has ample parking. I can't wait to come back here again and have been recommending it to all my friends and family! Thank you O Sushi for a fantastic time every time!
